CMOST & Planet Parker

Within the month of July, CMOST is partnering with the Robert C Parker School's Planet Parker to enhance our suite of camp experiences. These camps divide the day between traditional Parker programming (water play, outdoor games and adventuring) along with STEM activities taught by CMOST's Educators. Junior - grades 1-4

7/8 – 7/12 – Dinosaur Detectives: What do we really know about the dinosaurs of long ago? In this camp children will get hands-on as they experiment with measuring the size of dinosaurs, practicing their dino excavating skills and becoming junior paleontologists. We will even learn about the dinosaurs’ reptilian cousins that live at CMOST.

7/15 – 7/19 – Insect Investigations: What is an insect?  What makes them so cool?  Join us as we explore insects from top to bottom.  We will discover insects that are good for the environment and find out why. We may even come across some insects that are not helpful to the area they live in. Dress to head outside and examine insects in their natural environment, and learn ways to protect insects that are doing their jobs. Stories, creative activities and motion are included each day.

7/22 – 7/26 – Full STEAM Ahead: Let’s go on a STEAM adventure. Each day will be packed with fun activities that help us learn all about science, technology, engineering, art and math. Experiments, art projects, creating, building, tinkering and a few new ways of looking at math will make this a week packed with excitement
