Cool Science
What’s so cool about the cold? Join CMOST as we investigate the science of winter. We’ll learn why it’s colder out this time of year, why it gets dark so much earlier and we’ll take a look at some of the adjustments that animals in the environment make to deal with the cool, cold winter. Homeschool Lab: A Commotion of Motion
Let’s work together to learn all about the energy of motion. In this lab we will experiment with the differences in kinetic and potential energy by creating a roller coaster, explore the forces of gravity through experimentation and discover the science of Newton’s Laws. Explore the world of science through a variety of hands-on experiments in this overnight adventure. Campers will do cool things like create crystals, experiment with sticky water and build simple machines out of Legos®! Leap Into Vernal Pools
Want to see a frog nursery up close? Would you like to get your hands dirty catching tadpoles? Join us to explore the temporary pools that form in the springtime, and meet some of the animals that race against time to complete part of their life cycles in vernal pools. Ages 4+.
