SummerScience Camp

The CNSE CMOST summer science camp line-up is here! With our hands-on camps, CNSE CMOST offers children ages 5 to 14 an opportunity to be junior scientists for the summer.  

Camp activities include science experiments, studies, observations and more. Learn about our wide variety of one-week camp sessions.

Sensory Play: Textures
Help your child improve motor skills and awareness of how the world works. Join CNSE CMOST in the GE Junior Discovery room for a hands-on sensory science activity. This week we will explore textures! Pre-registration is not required, and is included with museum admission. Recommended for children 2-6 years of age.

Animal Spotlight: Corn Snake
Did you know that CNSE CMOST is home to almost 100 different kinds of animals - we house birds, snakes, rabbits and more! Visit us and discover Operation W.I.L.D. This month, participants will meet our Corn Snake and learn about where it lives and what it eats. Pre-registration is not required, and is included with museum admission. Recommended for children 5 years of age and up.

Summer Science: Flying High
Have you ever wished you could fly or wondered how an airplane works? Join CNSE CMOST in an exploration of the science of flight. We'll learn about the forces involved in flight, create flying contraptions of our own and more in this hands-on science workshop! Ages 5+, pre-registration is required, free for CNSE CMOST members, $2.00 for non-members plus admission to the museum.

Engineer It: Balloon Cars
How do objects move? What puts them in motion and what keeps them in motion? Join CNSE CMOST to find out. Participants will work together in teams to design, build, test and improve cars powered by a single balloon. Ages 8+, pre-registration is required, free for CNSE CMOST members, $2.00 for non-members plus admission to the museum.

Ages 5-7. CNSE CMOST Members $40.00. Non-members $45.00. Additional before and aftercare hours are available for an additional fee.

Stop Motion Movie Making Lab
Join us in this fast moving camp where kids can work together to create videos using stop motion movie making. Additional before and aftercare hours are available for an additional fee.
