Junior Discoverer Camp
In this ladies-only camp we will experiment with the science of all things that sparkle! Girls will delve into the world of science as they examine gemstones, create sparkling finger paint, and invent their own lotion and much more in this fun and exciting camp.
GIST - What’s the Matter
Senior Explorer Camp
Venture into the microscopic world of atoms and molecules as we discover matter and its many properties. Campers will discover atoms and molecules through participating in The Molecularium, building molecular models with gum drops, and creating chemical concoctions. Each day will be filled with different science experiments, fun games and hands-on explorations of all things small in this “ladies-only” camp.
GIST - Lotions, Potions & Scientific Notions
Senior Explorer Camp
In this ladies-only camp we will experiment with the chemistry that comprises all things beautified. Campers will explore the chemistry of a day spa as they learn the inner workings of the business and create potions and concoctions of their own.
GIST - Nano Camp
Tween Scientists Camp
What is nanotechnology and what makes it so interesting? Join CMOST in this camp for all things super small and nano. This camp is an introduction to nanotechnology and an exploration of all of the things that it might be able to do in your future! Campers will be immersed in the world of nanotechnology as they experiment with nano concepts. Campers will meet professionals from the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) who will share their knowledge. They will also have the opportunity to visit CNSE and explore everything nano from the gowning up process to the work that happens in the clean rooms. (One full day of Nano camp will be held at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering. Parents must drop off and pick up campers at the college in Albany on that day.)
