Vacation Science Camps

What are you going to do when school is out? Do what's fun and join us to Explore, Discover and Imagine the world of science during a day of camp at CMOST! Each day has a science theme and is packed with activities, experiments, projects, crafts and games. You will also have time to explore CMOST, visit a planetarium show and meet some of the animals from Operation W.I.L.D.

April School Vacation Camp

Monday, April 5th - Friday, April 9th

Kids ages 5 - 10

Monday, April 5th - Baggie Science
Have you explored science in a bag? Can you explore science in a bag? In this hands-on science camp children will experiment as they learn the scientic method and learn about chemical reactions, edible ice cream and much more!

Tuesday, April 6th - Do The Locomotion
Have you ever seen a toad hop or a snake slither? What makes an owl so good at flying? And how does a fish swim around without sinking? Come and learn the answers to these questions and many more as we learn about the different ways that animals move through games, outdoor activities and crafts.

Wednesday, April 7th - It's Electric & Magnetic

What makes your socks spark on the rug? Why are magnets drawn to one another? And what is a circuit and how does it work? In this camp weíll answer all of these questions and many more while working hands-on with several different electricity and magnetism experiments.

Thursday, April 8th - Stream Safari
Get your feet wet in the science of a stream in this safari. Join CMOST in this exploration as we learn about water bugs, test water quality parameters and experiment with the ins and outs of a watershed.

Friday, April 9th - Up in the Air
Up in the air, it's a bird! no, it's a plane! or wait a kite? Join CMOST as we delve into the science of aerodynamics. Campers will investigate bird feathers, experiment with the Bernoulli principle, create a cool kite and more in this day long investigation into the different aspects of flight and the dynamics of air.

Summer Science Camp

Monday, June 28th - Friday, September 3

Exploding soda, dancing spaghetti, wetland wonders, robotics, snails, beaver dams, and liquid lasagna. Are you curious as to what these things are? Then CMOST Summer Camp is for you! Each camp offered at CMOST is filled with fascinating science experiments, craft activities and games.

Junior Discoverers (Ages 5 - 7)

CMOST's Junior Discoverers camps are co-ed camps for children between the ages of 5 and 7. Activities include science experiments, craft activities and educational games. Click here for more information.

Senior Explorers (Ages 8 - 10)

CMOST's Senior Explorers camps are co-ed camps for children between the ages of 8 and 10. Activities in these camps include science experiments, studies, observations, group projects and much more. Click here for more information.

Tween Scientists (Ages 11 - 14)

CMOST's Tween Scientist program is a co-ed camp for children between the ages of 11 and 14. The Tween Scientist camp provides young adults with hands-on scientific experiences in many fields that will excite and inspire them. Click here for more information.

GIST - Girls In Science and Technology (Ages 5 - 14)

The Girls In Science and Technology programs are for ladies only and they are offered for both the Senior Explorers and the Tween Scientists camps. These camps are designed to engage young women in hands-on scientific exploration in a nurturing environment.
