Our volunteers contribute their time and talent to enhancing the Museum experience and environment.

We offer a variety of opportunities, shift options and commitment levels available for adults and high school students. If you're looking for an in-depth experience, check out CMOST's internship opportunities.

You will receive all the training you need to have a great volunteer experience. Contact us today or complete an application and we'll match you up with the volunteer position that's right for you! Our volunteers do a little bit of everything, but let us know which opportunities interest you.

Volunteer Experience May Include:

  • Visitor Services and Education Assistant- Assist our young visitors and their caregivers as they learn through hands-on activities! Help with workshops, camps, weekly programs and pop up activities. 
  • Special talents volunteer - If you have a special talent that you would like to share please contact our Volunteer Coordinator to find out how to share your specific talents with museum visitors. Create sensory bins, build exhibit elements, lead a workshop...impart your special skill in your own unique way. 
  • Animal Care - Assist with taking care of the living collections at the museum.
  • Materials Assistant - Help prepare components for traveling program kits, in-house programs and/or exhibits.

Adult Volunteering
